actually the ring is made with a springboard in the middle to help absorb the force of the weight being slammed down to the mat. theoretically since the undertaker has more body mass and body length, he could spread his body out more and distribute the force of impact better than, say, rey mysterio. they also have a microphone below the ring to enhance the sound, so big or small its going to sound like it hurts.

very good point, but the ring is actually made so only certain spots are hard, and the place where he hits u is supposed to be slacked off to make softer to not accedently injure the preformer. now, the reason he didnt pick him up was because he was doing a jackknife powerbomb, a move where all ur doing is droping u, the force of him making sound is because, have u ever noticed, he only does it against big oppoments he never does it to a small weak light guy cause it would be like...one sec
